Carl wrote to us in December, "Never having met Darrel before, I was rather apprehensive to have a complete stranger build me a gaming rig, but after a few eMails and conversations about what I wanted and what kind of budget I had, we settled on the components and the price. I have to say that this rig came in just under budget and I love it! The solid-state drive is lightning fast and very quiet. I play Battlefield 3 at full graphics and the highest resolution with no over-heating or hang-ups. The windows experience index rates this rig a 7.7 out of a possible 7.9....I am a happy camper! Game on!"
"Thanks Darrel!"
An AMD Phenom II 6-core gaming super-computer that operates at extreme framerates produced by a Nvidia GeForce Video Card on a 3D High Definition monitor. The system boots on to a Windows 7 64bit platform from a Solid State, SATA3 6gb/s, Drive (SSD). A minimum sound capability of 5.1 HD audio, a BluRay drive, cool gaming case and Vipre Internet security. It's amazing to see how fast the SSD works! The windows experience index came in at 7.5 which is awesome since 8.0 is maxed out. Under heavy load temperatures on the AMD CPU are steady at around 45o and the EVGA graphics card is operating at around 74o Celsius. There is a noticable decrease of several degrees when the fans hooked to the variable controls are set to maximum. The games installed for public use are Batman Arkham City, Diablo III, Metro 2033, The Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft.
